Trudeau will also discuss the nearly half-century effort to protect the Verde River as a National Wild and Scenic River, including the current campaign with the Wild Verde River Coalition to advance lasting stewardship of this irreplaceable resource.

About the Presenter
Joe Trudeau is a geographer, forester, and conservationist with more than 30 years of experience working to protect and restore significant natural and cultural landscapes. His work has included National Forests, National Parks, Monuments, Conservation Areas, Wildlife Refuges, Military lands, state and local conservation lands, private forestlands, and working ranches.
Through field research, geospatial technologies, and expertise in science, policy, and law, Trudeau has worked with clients and partners to protect and restore iconic landscapes and shared natural and cultural heritage. He is President of Wildwood Ecological and serves as a Conservation Policy Consultant to The Wilderness Society.
