Downtown Activities
Downtown Prescott is the heart of the city, where historic charm meets a lively mix of shops, dining, and local culture. Here’s a curated look at some of the best spots to explore while you’re in the area.
Begin with breakfast at The Dinner Bell Cafe. As one of the oldest restaurants in town, their original menu is to die for. You will need your energy to browse the plethora of galleries, antique shops and boutiques that line the courthouse plaza, so be sure to load up on their delicious coffee and teas. From there, make your first stop Black Arrow Jewelry & Art and treat yourself to a unique new piece.
After you have shopped your heart out, we recommend having lunch at The Peacock Room inside the Historic Hassayampa Inn.
You might need a caffeine boost, so run across the street to the Spice & Tea Exchange of Prescott and visit their tea bar.
You’ll want to pop over to the Sharlot Hall Museum for an educational historical tour. On your way, be sure to stop in Drawn West for your next western piece or Prescott shirt.
Next, if you are a wino, then an afternoon glass at the Back Alley Wine Bar is exactly what you need. If alcohol is not your thing, Wild Iris Café has the best coffees, teas, and Italian sodas to wet your whistle.
After you have recharged, check out the Heritage Trail & History Hunt for a real-life historical walking tour of downtown Prescott and some of the great historical landmarks and cultural attractions that put Prescott on the map.
End with dinner at The Palace and then drinks at Jersey Lilly Saloon – two of the most iconic places known to locals and visitors alike.
