Airport
While the Plaza is the heart of Prescott, the Prescott Regional Airport is the transportation hub of Prescott. This general aviation and commercial service airport includes commercial airline services to Los Angeles and Denver. There is also a full service Fixed Based Operator (FBO) for visiting pilots corporate aviation, several aviation businesses flight training and recreational flying. Rental car agencies are available both at the airport and near downtown.
The airport is named after Ernest A. Love, who was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Service during WWI, when he served as a fighter pilot. Lt. Love’s aircraft was shot down in France in 1918 and he died of his wounds as a prisoner of war shortly after. Lt. Love was raised in Prescott, where he was a Prescott High School football star.
